About Kabanat 60mg Injection

Kabanat 60mg Injection contains Cabazitaxel, a chemotherapy drug primarily used in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer, especially in patients who have not responded to other chemotherapy agents. Cabazitaxel, a member of the taxane class of medications, stops cancer cells from proliferating and spreading by blocking cell division. 

While using this medication, let your doctor know about any liver, kidney, or infection-related medications you may be taking. Pregnancy should be avoided during and for a few months after therapy as it may be harmful to the unborn child; frequent testing may be necessary.

Mechanism of Action:

By stabilizing microtubules, which are crucial for cell division, cabacitaxel prevents their disintegration. Cell death results from this stabilization's interference with the regular process of cell division. Cancer cells are particularly vulnerable to this activity because they divide and expand more quickly than healthy cells.

Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer

Dosage and Administration:

Intravenous infusion is the administration route. The dosage is given in cycles of every three weeks and is based on body surface area (e.g., 25 mg/m). frequently administered alongside prednisone.
