About Emrok 800mg Injection

   Emrok 800mg Injection contains Levonadifloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the fluoroquinolone class. Levonadifloxacin is used primarily to treat serious bacterial infections, especially those caused by resistant Gram-positive pathogens, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

     Consult your physician if you experience any persistent gastrointestinal problems or injection site reactions, such as discomfort, edema, or redness. Steer clear of the mouth, nose, or eyes, and wash with water if you are accidentally exposed.

Composition: Levonadifloxacin

Mechanism of Action:

Levonadifloxacin is a novel fluoroquinolone that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This dual inhibition effectively kills bacteria and prevents the spread of infection.

Uses:

         Acute Bacterial Skin and Skin Structure Infections (ABSSSI)

         Community-Acquired Bacterial Pneumonia

Dosage and Administration:

800 mg administered intravenously once daily over 60 minutes. The dosage and duration depend on the type and severity of the infection and patient response.
