About Eczas 1gm Injection

Eczas 1gm Injection contains Ertapenem as its active ingredient. Serious bacterial infections are treated with the broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic ertapenem.

While beginning this medication, let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney problems, epilepsy, or an allergy to antibiotics. Blood tests, if indicated, are generally safe during pregnancy and lactation and may be required to evaluate blood cells and kidney function.

Composition: Ertapenem

Mechanism of Action:

By attaching itself to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), ertapenem prevents the formation of bacterial cell walls, causing the cell walls to break down and the bacteria to die. Both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including some drug-resistant species, can be effectively combatted with ertapenem.

Uses:

Severe Bacterial Infection

Dosage and Administration:

Administered as an intramuscular (IM) injection or intravenous (IV) infusion. 1 gram should be taken once a day.
