Composition: Rituximab

Mechanism of Action:

Rituximab targets the CD20 antigen on B-lymphocytes (B-cells), which are involved in both normal immune function and the development of certain cancers like non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and CLL. Upon binding to CD20, rituximab induces B-cell death through multiple pathways, including direct apoptosis (cell death), activation of the complement system, and recruitment of immune cells that kill the antibody-tagged B-cells.
