About Capsy 500mg Tablet

Capsy 500mg Tablet contains Capecitabine is an oral chemotherapy drug used primarily in the treatment of certain cancers. Prodrug capecitabine inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells by converting into 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in the body.

If you take any other medications or have liver or renal problems, let your doctor know since there may be drug interactions. Effective contraception is indicated to both men and women throughout therapy, and this medication is not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Mechanism of Action:

A prodrug of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) is capecitabine. After consumption, it is broken down into 5-FU in the liver and tumors, which stops the synthesis of DNA in cancer cells that divide quickly. This slows the growth of tumors and aids in their reduction.

Dosage and Administration:
