About Apigat 5mg Tablet

Apigat 5mg Tablet contains Apixaban, a selective inhibitor of Factor Xa, which is crucial in the coagulation cascade. Apixaban stops thrombin from forming and blood clots from forming by inhibiting Factor Xa. It is frequently used to treat and prevent a range of thromboembolic conditions.

There is no requirement for routine PT-INR monitoring; do not take this medication if you have severe liver or renal problems, bleeding, or are taking anticoagulants.

Mechanism of Action:

Apixaban prevents prothrombin from being converted to thrombin by specifically inhibiting Factor Xa. This stops fibrin clots from forming without having an impact on platelet aggregation.

Dosage and Administration:

Usual Adult Dosage is 5 mg orally twice daily.
