About Tygaray 50mg Injection

Tygaray 50mg Injection contains Tigecycline, which belongs to the class of antibiotics known as glycylcyclines. A variety of bacterial infections, including those that are resistant to other antibiotics, can be treated with the broad-spectrum antibiotic tigecycline.

Before beginning Tygaray, let your doctor know if you are expecting, nursing, allergic to antibiotics, or have liver problems. Liver function may need to be monitored while you are on Tygaray.

Composition: Tigecycline

Mechanism of Action:

Tigecycline binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit and prevents bacteria from synthesizing proteins. This effectively stops the growth of bacteria by preventing amino acids from being added to the expanding peptide chain.

Uses:

• Complex infections of the skin and soft tissues
• Complicated intra-abdominal infections
• Community-acquired pneumonia

Dosage and Administration:

50 mg every 12 hours, usually given over the course of 30 to 60 minutes via IV infusion.The duration of treatment (usually 5 to 14 days) is determined on the kind and severity of infection.
