Imatib 400mg Tablet contains Imatinib mesylate is used to treat a number of malignancies, such as dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, acute lymphocytic leukemia, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and chronic myeloid leukemia.

Composition: Imatinib mesylate

Mechanism of Action:

The Philadelphia chromosome produces the BCR-ABL fusion protein, which is the target of the selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) imatinib. Imatinib inhibits this protein, which stops the signaling pathways that encourage cancer cells to proliferate and expand, ultimately causing apoptosis (cell death) in those cells.

Dosage and administration:
